Updated.
I've decided to stick with the same topic but narrowed down the subject, funny, cuz when i started this project originally.. there were no malaysian's in space yet. :) And we had no clue about the International Space Station project.
So now i'm gonna create a game based on the International Space Station, the station where our very own fellow malaysians participated for the first time in Space Travel.
User requirement and user profile.
I was undecided on the demographic of my user but i knew that i wanted to target young children. So after much thought I have decided on a profile of my target user.
Demographic
Age: 7-12
Language: English
Latest Education: Elementary School/ Sekolah Rendah.
The Psychographic
Foundation on Space as content: Low/Medium
Computer/Internet Skills: Medium-High
VR Skills: Low
Game Level of Difficulty: Low/Medium
Learning Styles: Visual and Text

Project Brief
The title Space Exploration Station is pretty much self explanatory, the game takes place on board a Space Station where a little boy has stowed away on one of the space pods and has arrived on the space station in search of his father. This game is designed for young children from the age 8 till the pre-teens to play during holidays or their free time.

The idea basically is to create a fun and adventurous environment where children can imagine and experience being in outer-space. The adventure begins with a cut-scene of a boy entering the space station from Earth to visit his father an astronaut and a Captain on the space station. He enters for the docking chamber where the battalion of space fighters can be seen. The boy moves along to the lobby of the space station. Where there is a VIRTUAL DIRECTORY to two special parts of the space station. The boy decides to have a tour before he sees his father.
Benchmark: A.I: Artificial Intelligence
Benchmark: NASA space program
I choose to do this project because it is the one I myself, am most interested in, Outer Space is a fascinating place and so full of possibilities. It would be easy to create a world which is different to what we are used to in Space. For the modeling and animating I’m going to use Autodesk MAYA and 3Dmax, the programming will be done in Virtools. I want to have Animated Cut Scenes in my game. But have yet to discover how to create that in Virtools.
